In a swift operation, the Ngcobo Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) arrested two suspects, aged 24 and 29, for the unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.

According to SAPS on Monday, the Officers acting on intelligence received, raided the suspects’ homesteads at Nkqonqo Locality.

During the search, two firearms and ammunition were seized, confirming the information that the suspects were in possession of illegal weapons.

The Arrest And Recovery Of Firearms

The arrests follow a thorough investigation and surveillance, which led to the discovery of the unlicensed firearms.

The suspects are expected to appear in Ngcobo Magistrate’s Court on March 10, 2025, where they will face charges related to the possession of illegal firearms and ammunition.
