14-Year-Old Arrested After Fatal Shooting In Atlantis That Left Man Dead, Child Injured

A 14-year-old boy has been taken into custody in connection with a fatal shooting in Atlantis on Wednesday. Police confirmed that a 31-year-old man was killed in the attack, while a four-year-old girl sustained injuries.

Four-Year-Old Victim Recovering in Hospital

The young girl was rushed to the Red Cross Children’s Hospital following the shooting. Authorities say she is currently in a stable condition as medical staff continue to monitor her recovery.

Police spokesperson Malcolm Pojie confirmed that the teenage suspect appeared in the Atlantis Magistrate’s Court, where bail was successfully opposed.

“The 14-year-old suspect appeared in the Atlantis Magistrate’s Court, where bail was successfully opposed and denied. He remains in custody until his next court appearance,” said Pojie.
